Meet Brent Messimer!
Hobbies include soccer, drums/guitar, and eating tons of sea-food. Dislikes include cleaning, calendars, and Lock-ins. He is however willing to budge on the last item if the youth are extra attentive at youth group that week.
After graduating from Central Christian College of the Bible in 2003 with a major in Counseling and Missions, Brent moved to Aurora, Colorado to help plant a church. He has a heart for people and God’s church which has led him to do missions in Mexico, South Africa and Uganda. Currently he and his wife run a non-profit called Bare Necessities, that supports a Christian School in Uganda.
In 2010 Brent achieved his Masters of Divinity from Lincoln Christian University. The years that followed found Brent serving victims of human trafficking through Rescue Innocence, an organization he co-founded. During this time he also served at multiple churches as a pastor, youth and worship minister.
Our congregation has welcomed Brent and his family with open arms and are thrilled to have him on staff here at Pleasant Grove!
